Welcome to the Willapa United Methodist Church (WUMC). We are delighted that you are visiting our website and hope to see you face-to-face soon!

Its Saturday morn with frost on the ground. Good morning!
Today in our Disciple Bible Study we’re studying the book of Ephesians as we continue to study all of Paul’s letters. All of Paul’s letters have a distinct emphasis and Ephesians is no different. Ephesians has a lot to say about the Church. In fact, for Ephesians the Church becomes the center piece of creation. That’s right the center piece.
As Paul describes the Church as the Body of Christ he writes about how our different gifts make Christ evident in the world. Its not that we can’t find God in nature or our relationships or our individual devotions but Christ is imitated in the community of Christ. Its in the Church that God’s unifying purpose can be seen the clearest. And its His unifying purpose, his wanting harmony, that most identifies who He is.
So what we do together matters. When we treat each other as brothers and sisters His will is done. When we love each other across economic lines, race lines, gender lines, denomination lines, God’s Kingdom comes a little more clearly.
So when we mess up it sends a big message to the world. The kind of message that sticks in our memory.
What we do together sends a message. Let’s aim high with love and forgiveness and God’s transforming love will be felt.
God’s unity happens through us!
Carl
